The profit after tax (PAT) was down 66% over Rs 441.14 crore reported in the July-September quarter of FY25 while the topline fell 35% over Rs 1,026 crore reported in Q2FY25.
The state-run company also announced an interim dividend of Rs 1.15 per equity share for the financial year 2024-25. The record date for the same is fixed on February 21, 2025. The payment of dividend will start from March 6, 2025 onwards.

The state-run power company incurred expenses of Rs 520 crore in the reported quarter which was up from Rs 466 crore in Q2FY25 and Rs 427 crore in the year ago period. The expenses included heads like electricity purchased for trading, employee benefit expenses and finance cost.

The operating margin in the reported quarter stood at 52.85% down from 74.95% in Q2FY25 and 56.75% in Q3FY25.
