Wires and Cables manufacturer Polycab India on Friday released its Q2 results for the financial year 2026, reporting a 55.65% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its consolidated net profit, which stood at Rs 692.96 crore, up from Rs 445.2 crore reported a year ago. Meanwhile, the company’s revenue from operations also surged 17.8% YoY.

The revenue from operations for the reporting quarter stood at Rs 6,477.21 crore, against Rs 5,498.42 crore in the same quarter of the last fiscal year.

Even on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, the company posted a growth of 15.5% in its profit after tax (PAT), up from Rs 599.69 crore in the June quarter.

The company’s Q2FY26 EBITDA came in at Rs 1,020.7 crore, up 62% YoY. This was supported by stronger margins in the W&C business and a one-off gain in the EPC segment. Consequently, consolidated EBITDA margins improved by ~130 bps sequentially to 15.8%.

Polycab India Q2: Segment-wise revenue

Polycab India reported a segment revenue of Rs 6,545.70 crore from its key business verticals for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2FY26), as per unaudited financials. The Wires and Cables segment remained the primary growth driver, contributing Rs 5,691.13 crore.

Polycab India’s Wires & Cables segment reported a 21% year-on-year growth in Q2 FY26, driven by strong demand from both government and private sectors. The domestic business also grew 21%, with robust performance in both wires and cables across distribution and institutional channels. The company’s international business grew 25% YoY, contributing 6.5% to consolidated revenues. EBIT margins for the quarter stood at 15.1%, expanding by ~40 basis points sequentially but contracting by ~270 basis points on a yearly basis. The sequential improvement was supported by operating leverage and a favourable business mix.

The FMEG (Fast-Moving Electrical Goods) division reported revenue of Rs 452.18 crore, while the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) segment generated Rs 402.39 crore during the quarter.

The FMEG segment registered a 14% year-on-year revenue growth in Q2 FY26, maintaining its steady momentum. While the fans category faced challenges due to an extended monsoon and elevated channel inventory, other categories saw healthy growth led by real estate demand and effective strategic execution. The solar category continued to perform well, supported by strong demand under rooftop incentive schemes, and is expected to become the largest within the FMEG portfolio. Despite increased advertising and promotional spending, the segment remained profitable.
