After weeks of arid weather, showers are expected at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western Provinces as well as in Galle and Matara districts, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC).
Meanwhile, fairly heavy rainfall above 75mm is expected in parts of Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, and in Galle and Matara districts, the DMC said further.
