Phillip Capital India’s Income Builder Portfolio followed with a 1.06% return, while Neo Asset Management’s Neo Yield Enhancer Fund and Estee Advisors’ I Alpha Fund posted 0.98% and 0.94% gains, respectively.
Debt-focused PMS funds featured prominently among the best performers in February. Karvy Capital’s Excel Fund returned 0.79%, while its Demeter Fund delivered 0.44%. Profusion Investment Advisors’ Income Enhancer Fund and Northern Arc Investment Managers’ Income Builder Series B each gained 0.67%, while Northern Arc’s Credit Opportunities Strategy Fund added 0.65%.
Among smallcap funds, Aequitas Investment Consultancy’s India Opportunities Product delivered a 0.48% return, making it the top performer in its category for the month.
Bottom Performers: ESG and smallcap funds lag behind
While 14 funds posted gains, several others saw sharp declines in February. Green Portfolio Pvt Ltd’s The Impact ESG Fund was the worst performer, falling 22.36%. Wallfort PMS and Advisory Services’ Diversified Fund dropped 19.72%, while NAFA Asset Managers’ Clean Tech Portfolio declined 19.30%.
Other significant losers included Mansi Share and Stock Advisors’ Seven Islands PMS, which declined by 19.25%, Dynamic Equities’ Emerging Fund, which dropped over 18%, and Money Grow Asset’s Small Midcap Fund, which fell by nearly 18%. Green Portfolio’s Super 30 Dynamic Fund, Badjate Stock Shares’ Aggressive Fund, Prosperity Wealth Management’s Discovery Fund, and ithought Financial Consulting’s VRDDHI Fund all recorded monthly losses of more than 16%.
The performance of PMS funds in February varied across categories, with large & midcap, debt, and arbitrage strategies showing positive returns, while several smallcap and thematic funds posted steep declines.
