NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Monday’s session.

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 2.20%), Coromandel International Ltd.(up 1.94%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(up 1.84%), Bohra Industries Ltd.(up 0.54%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.45%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 0.36%) and Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 0.20%) stood among the top gainers.

Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(down 4.76%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(down 2.72%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(down 2.41%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 1.63%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(down 1.53%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 1.48%), Aries Agro Ltd.(down 1.46%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(down 1.24%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(down 1.23%) and National Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.99%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 48.85 points up at 22104.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 111.66 points at 72776.13.

Cipla Ltd.(up 5.61%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 3.9%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 3.14%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 3.12%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.95%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.03%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.39%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.27%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.26%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.23%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 8.31%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.9%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.82%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.3%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.24%), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.21%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.17%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.11%), State Bank of India(down 1.05%) and Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.67%) closed in the red.
