Oriental Trimex(down 9.52%), MOIL(down 2.91%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.38%), Lexus Granito(down 1.33%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.47%), NMDC Ltd(down 0.47%), Coal India(down 0.32%) and Aro Granite Industries(down 0.21%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 99.75 points down at 19365.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 388.4 points at 65151.02.
Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 4.32%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.01%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.42%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.24%), State Bank of India(up 1.2%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.54%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.52%), Bajaj Finserv(up 0.48%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.42%) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.39%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, ITC(down 2.05%), LTIMindtree Ltd(down 1.93%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.75%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.54%), Reliance Industries(down 1.44%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.43%), Nestle India(down 1.28%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.15%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.99%) and Grasim Industries(down 0.88%) closed in the red.
