Bharat Forge Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent), Apollo Tyres Ltd.(up 2.02 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 1.67 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 1.6 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.41 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.41 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.61 per cent at 21364.75 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 60.16 points at 22894.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 149.97 points at 75451.23.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobilit, JP Power, YES Bank and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Swaraj Engines, Vadilal Ind, ITC Hotels, JSW Holdings and Ajax Engineering hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Kesoram Inds., AGS Transact Tech, VL E-Governance & IT, Impex Ferro Tech and Tijaria Polypipes hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
