Shares of Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.18 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.78 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.7 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 1.59 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 4.07 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(down 2.3 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 1.98 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.9 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.45 per cent up at 20424.0.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 27.41 points at 22470.5, while the BSE Sensex stood down 72.56 points at 74029.76.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 ended in the green, while 31 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, IndusInd Bank, Zomato, JP Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of NACL Industries, ARSS Infra, Kamat Hotels, Camlin Fine Sc and Kotak Bank hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Coastal Corp, Cinevista Ltd, Spencer’s Retail, Rajnandini Metal and Nath Bio-Genes hit their fresh 52-week lows.
