Shares of Sobha Ltd.(up 1.17 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.16 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 5.25 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 3.67 per cent), Raymond Ltd.(down 2.41 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.8 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.69 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.42 per cent down at 851.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 72.61 points at 23519.35, while the BSE Sensex stood down 191.51 points at 77414.92.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 ended in the green, while 26 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Reliance Power, Zomato and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Cura Tech, ITC Hotels, SBI Card, Shree Cements and Chambal Fertilisers hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Ruchi Infra, Kanani Inds, Vaxtex Cotfab, Celebrity Fash and Andhra Cements hit their fresh 52-week lows.
