Tata Communications Q1 Results: Cons PAT falls 43% YoY to Rs 190 crore, revenue up 7%

Tata Communications on Thursday reported a 43% decline in its Q1FY26 consolidated net profit at Rs 190 crore versus Rs 333 crore reported in the year ago period. The profit is attributable to the equity holders of the company.

The company’s revenue from operations surged 7% to Rs 5,960 crore versus Rs 5,592 crore in the year ago period.

The profit after tax (PAT) was down 82% on a sequential basis versus Rs 1,040 crore reported by the company in Q4FY25. The topline was down marginally by 0.5% versus Rs 5,990 crore in the January-March quarter of FY25.

Segment revenue

— Voice solutions: Revenue stood at Rs 395 crore in Q1FY26 versus Rs 374 crore in Q4FY25 and Rs 423 crore in Q1FY25.

Live Events

— Data Services: Revenue stood at Rs 5,152 crore in Q1FY26 versus Rs 5,122 in Q4FY25 and Rs 4,703 crore in Q1FY25.

— Transformation Services: Revenue stood at Rs 224 crore in Q1FY26 versus Rs 318 in Q4FY25 and Rs 308 crore in Q1FY25.

— Real Estate: Revenue stood at Rs 52 crore in Q1FY26 versus Rs 47 in Q4FY25 and Rs 60 crore in Q1FY25.

Tata Communications incurred expenses of Rs 5,665 crore in the quarter under review, down from Rs 5,723 crore in Q4FY25 and Rs 5,260 crore in Q1FY25. The expenses were reported under the heads like network and transmission expenses, employee benefit expenses and finance cost among others.

The earnings were announced after market hours and Tata Communications’ shares today ended at Rs 1,729.50 on the NSE, declining by Rs 5.40 or 0.31% over the Wednesday closing price.
