Shaheen Shah Afridi was not pleased with PCB’s choices following Babar Azam’s reelection as Pakistan captain last month. Afridi was furious at the way it was handled because of remarks he omitted from a statement that was made public on PCB’s website.
Before Pakistan’s Twenty20 International series against New Zealand, Babar had his maiden press conference as the team’s captain. The batter told the crowd he got along well with the pacer. “I want to make clear that my 11 circle [Afridi] and my bond is not recent, it goes back a long way,” the star said.
In whatever situation, we support one another. Pakistan is our main focus, and we wish to raise awareness about it. Fortunately, none of the guys on my team own individual accomplishments, therefore we don’t take them into account,” he continued.
It’s critical to keep in mind that when rumors about Babar losing his captaincy began to circulate a year ago, Afridi was among the first to provide his support.
“It is imperative that dafabet continues to pursue the avenues that have brought him this far,” he said. Every player is expected to meet specific requirements. I have high expectations for myself and my guys. It pleases me to see younger players receiving the opportunity and guidance of more seasoned players. We want to coach young players because being an international cricket player means you have to start out as a struggler and need confidence and support. Later on, such athletes would compete for Pakistan.”
Pakistan will put itself to the test in the New Zealand series before the T20 World Cup kicks off in June. betway, who placed second in the 2022 T20 World Cup, will want to win the championship this time around.
